Show Them You LOVE Their Business on Valentine’s Day
Posted on February 14th, 2010 No commentsFebruary 14th is Valentine’s Day
Time to send flowers to your Valentine’s – and that includes your clients and customers - send a valentine card to your clients and tell them how much you appreciate them, that you love their business. If you really love them, send them a heart shaped paper weight that looks like a globe and tell them, “Your business means the world to us! Happy Valentine’s Day from ABC Company.” You can also do what we do and send “loving thoughts” the week after Valentines Day. Let them know you appreciate their business and since it is the “season of love,” you’d like to acknowledge them with something. We have sent flowers in a cube (It’s called the Sweet Thoughts bouquet) we have sent little teddy bears sporting our Eden Florist logo t-shirt, we have sent mugs of love and more. Even more special would be a hand-delivery. If flowers aren’t your thing, bring them lunch! Or breakfast. Nothing like some warm croissants to make your clients smile. Or a bowl of hot soup! Especially in this cold weather much of the world is experiencing. The type of loving thoughts is as large as your imagination.
You may have heard about the quirky marriage proposal on the Brooklyn Bridge ~ According to Jill “My brother proposed to his girlfriend on the Brooklyn Bridge yesterday. The plan was to have people hand balloons to her as they walked across the bridge, each with a note from my brother attached. It was so cute. We had a few friends help but mostly recruited strangers as they walked in their direction. She said yes!” For pictures of this blessed day, visit: http://adjix.com/9643.
Do you offer wedding, party or other event services? Help someone plan their “surprise” event and then blog or write a media release about the event and let the “powers that be” know all about it. Be sure to send to your local media contacts and if the story is nationally newsworthy (like the above example) send to national media outlets.
This story first aired on February 15th, 2009 on a blog called My Spinning Wheels and I saw it on Victoria with Roses blog on February 27th at http://www.victoriawithroses.com/. Since then this story has made national fame being written about on thousands of blogs across the country.More great marketing ideas can be found in the Quirky Marketing Calendar ~ How to Use Zany and Non-traditional Holidays to Promote Your Business 365 Days a Year!
