April 15th is Take a Wild Guess Day

…It’s also file your taxes day in the US and “That Sucks Day!” – interesting, don’t you think?

My good friend Jim Barber (TheBarbershop.com) created “take a wild guess” day in celebration of hunches, guesses, and gut feelings.  You could spend this day taking a wild guess that something good is going to happen, or you can MAKE IT HAPPEN!  Start by infusing some fresh marketing ideas into your marketing plan.  Even the Law of Attraction needs some intention behind it!

April 15th is also TAX RETURNS DAY ~ Do what one Staffing Agency did – have a pink slip networking party.  Violet Nikolici of A-Plus Resumes partnered with Junior Achievement to host the party. People looking to hire wear a blue bracelet and people looking for a new opportunity wear a pink bracelet.  Neutral people wear a green bracelet. Its a win-win because all money raised goes to Junior Achievement and those who find new employees or employment WIN too!

April 15th is also:

Ham Radio Day

National High Five Day
Other Events of Note:

In 1817, Thomas Gallaudet and Laurent Clerc founded the first US public school for the deaf in Hartford, CT.

55 years ago, in 1955, the first McDonald’s opened at Des Moines, Iowa

  1. Jim Barber says:

National Take a Wild Guess Day falls on April 15 because so many people fill out their federal tax forms based solely on taking wild-a** guesses. (Or so I’m told… I don’t do that, of course!)

I thought about calling it That Guess Is Fine Day, but TGIF was already taken.

So Happy NTAWG Day, Heidi! Keep ‘em guessing!
