December is Bingo’s Birthday Month?

As part of the promotional campaign, Women in Ecommerce™ hosted the Women’s Internet Marketing Summit featuring a BINGO Game – (BINGO stands for Bookmarked Interactive Network Games Online) the Internet based version of BINGO using randomly selected Internet marketing terms (Bingo Lingo) in each of the 25 boxes contained on the card.

People who signed up received a Bingo card via email and every day new words were posted to the Summit site and an email was sent also announcing the words of the day to participants. WE played blackout Bingo (every card had 2 free spaces somewhere on them) and the first person to totally complete a card received a prize. We also had a 2nd and 3rd place prize for the next two who won. WE did this for a month leading up to the event and had several players participating in the “game.”

Women in Ecommerce™ used aweber autorespond system (FREE TO TRY) to facilitate the emails and sign-ups to create a new “list” in which to share the game information and promote the event.  101 women and men from around the world participated in event (U.S. Canada, Iceland, France, Portugal, Italy, Ireland, Switzerland, Netherlands and England were among the countries represented).
