Congratulations to my friend, Dr. Gayle Carson, the founder of Spunky Old Broads Month and the author of the book “How to be an S.O.B. – Spunky Old Broad Who Kicks Butt.” You can also read more about the book and Dr. Gayle at http://www.SpunkyOldBroads.com – it’s a great book you can read and give to a Spunky Old Broad in your life – what a great way to “plant some seeds of greatness.”
Need some ideas to help celebrate the month? Here are just two suggestions to celebrate Spunky Old Broads Month:
1. Go nude skydiving with ten friends. (don’t look up!)
2. Break out the Harley and wear your purplegiant polka dot dress and red hat with birds nest and feathers to the grocery store.

I’m an aspiring spunky old broad on the Feisty Side of Fifty! I say “aspiring” because sometimes my spunk sputters but Dr. Gayle’s book looks like just the elixir I need when my “get up and go” gets up and leaves.
BTW–I LOVE her suggestions for ways to celebrate February. There’s not nearly enough senior nude skydiving and I think we should start a movement to showcase this much needed sport!
Thanks for article. Everytime like to read you.
Thanks
I didn’t know you knew her. Small world! Her backstory in creating the SOB month is awesome and I love the attitude! The SOB month fits perfectly with your quirky marketing book.
Beverly,
Gayle and I have been friends for years. She is one of the founders of The Florida Speakers Association and we got to know each other when I joined. She has been a mentor, role model and great leader all these years – and she is one of the best female speakers I know.
Thanks for stopping by!
