Effective Communication is more than taking an order, listening to your customers or talking on the phone. It’s also about how you present yourself to your clients and how they perceive your company. Its all a part of your image or reputation. Its your marketing message and so much more. There are some things you can do to keep your message true to your mission and help your audience better understand what it is you do and how you do what you do will benefit them.Here are some tips:
Take a look at how other companies market their products and services. Then take a look at all the copy in your current marketing campaigns and find ways to tweak it, improve it, make it more benefit-driven.
Remove the clutter in your messages. After all, effective communication is about removing barriers, it’s about taking the other person into consideration – in business that means your clients and customers.
Ask your clients questions about your products and services.
Use “their words” in your messages. Get to know what their needs are and find ways to fill those needs. Even if it means to refer them to someone else.
