Checklists… hmmm! We all have them. And yet, how effectively are we using them? Checklists can simplify your life, make tasks easier to perform, help you remember important people, places and things and can be big time-savers.
What types of checklists do you use?
Do you create a daily checklist of things you need to accomplish?
Do you use checklists for performing routine tasks? Sometimes a checklist is just as important for those things we do on a routine basis because we may forget an important step that when not done, means we have to back-track and redo…
I love checklists! Three of my favorite are My Event Planning Checklist, My Event Timeline and My Friends Checklist.
My Event Planning Checklist is great for remembering what needs to be brought every time I host an event. Things like pens, paper, name badges, business cards, raffle tickets, signage, gift certificates, money etc.
My Event Timeline tells me what needs to be done when. It can include securing a location, a speaker, dates for creating, printing and sending invitations and a whole host of other things.
And my Friends Checklist is perhaps the most important. I use that to remember who to invite to what events, who has been at the last one or two, maybe what roles they played in the events, when their birthdays are to remind me to send a card or flowers or a gift and more.
