Today February 17th Begins International Friendship Week

That’s right! February 17-23 is International Friendship Week.  Personally, I think every week should be Friendship WEEK.   International Friendship week is about showing people how much they mean to you. it’s about making new friends across the miles and being a friend to others.

I think it is a great opportunity to demonstrate publicly just how much you value their friendship and care about them.

I was surfing the WEB to find some references to International Friendship week and the only thing I could find was this  International Friendship Week Video at SlideShare.com

Which means there could be a greater opportunity to gain some exposure while doing good.  For instance, instead of (or in addition to) a Slideshare.com presentation of your own using your friends pictures and commentary or fun quotes about friends (although I think that has been a bit overdone).

You can do what I did above and  create a YouTube Video and ask people what they think about Friendship Week. Interview people on the streets and ask them how they will or would celebrate. How do they show their friends they care?  You could be like the Jay Leno of your business and be the “man or woman on the street.”  It might be fun to put people on the spot because you will get the most honest answers from your questions. I interviewed one of my team members and then three women during an event I attended called  Girls Night In Event tonight.

The beauty of the video is that when someone “googles” International Friendship Week, your video will show up in the results! Just like this one will.

Have fun creating yours and feel free to post the link in the comments with your feedback.
