Paul Brown Hawaii Launches Operation Makeover
Paul Brown Hawaii continues to support many charitable causes including its most recent endeavor, Operation Makeover. This newly created program, dedicated to honoring troops who have recently returned from serving overseas, was recently launched in Hawaii by Paul Brown himself. In collaboration with other businesses, Brown’s Operation Makeover offers a complimentary day of luxury and beauty for military veterans.
Paul Brown notes, “I know that helping our returning troops to feel rejuvenated and refreshed while enhancing their image and self-esteem will make a positive impact on their lives. We are very grateful for their service to protect America and the freedoms we all enjoy. We want to provide a service that would help deserving candidates and their family members who have endured the hardships of deployment in the best way we know how. We plan to pamper them and to make them feel great about themselves. We know from experience, that professional salon makeovers bring people closer to their full potential and will help to give them a fresh start!”
Operation Makeover Candidates: Three Operation Makeover winners will be selected each month from the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, National Guard and Navy. Recipients will be named the first week of each month and will have 30 days in which to sign up for their special day of indulgence. At the recent kickoff event hosted by flag and general officer spouses, Paul Brown personally announced their first recipients.
Operation Makeover Partners: Paul shared the Operation Makeover concept with a select group of local and national business people who also wanted to do something for our hard-working service members, especially those who have endured a more challenging experience. While they are still seeking partners willing to collaborate on this project, the first participating companies feel as rewarded as the makeover candidates.
The special day of pampering includes a $250 shopping excursion at Guess and a complete hair and beauty makeover from a Paul Brown Salon and Spa. The will also receive dinner for two from Roy’s Hawaii and a complimentary overnight stay at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. The Armed Services YMCA is coordinating all of the arrangements for Operation Makeover, inclusive of managing the selection process, which is currently based upon recommendations from armed services company commanders, chaplains or other social service providers as well as others who are familiar with personnel and their challenging experiences from deployment.
